To build BigCam firmware, you will need Analog Devices VisualDSP++ 5.0 or newer. Evaluation licenses are available. It also might be possible to build the firmware with the GCC based Blackfin toolchain, but this has not been tested.

Building the FPGA bitstream requires Xilinx ISE 13.2 or newer. Fortunately, the design is small enough to fit in a Spartan-6 LX25, and so the free WebPACK tools can build it.
